Seafood Tray Cling Film Packaging Machine

Description

Seafood processors considering cling film overwrapping can review the SUK SK-BF for tray-packed products. Fish portions, shrimp or other seafood must be evaluated in the intended tray: moisture, drainage and irregular shapes can affect the wrapping process.

Features and Configuration Review

Identify the seafood, whether it arrives chilled or frozen, and whether there is free liquid, ice or condensation on the tray. Provide loaded-tray photos showing tails, shells or other projections, together with any absorbent pad and tray material. Define infeed spacing, cleaning requirements and the required output of accepted wrapped trays, rather than relying on an unloaded-machine speed.

Applications

This page concerns film overwrapping of seafood trays, not vacuum pouches or gas-flushed tray sealing. Confirm with your food packaging team whether cling film is suitable for the intended handling and cold-chain process. Suitability and package performance require sample review.

Separate seafood shape, tray condition and film requirements

A fillet tray and a tray containing shell-on items can present different mechanical wrapping challenges. Identify each pack format in the enquiry and include loaded-tray photos from above and from the side. State the actual condition at the wrapping station so the sample review does not rely on an empty, dry tray alone.

  • Loaded profile: record the highest point and any tails, shell edges or projections. Inspect the proposed wrap for punctures, uncovered areas and movement of the contents.
  • Tray and pad: identify the tray material, rigidity, rim and any pad. Discuss free liquid, ice or condensation as conditions to reproduce within the agreed trial brief.
  • Line interface: state how trays are spaced and transferred from upstream packing, and whether labelling, inspection or accumulation is included downstream. Specify cleaning access and the agreed stop/restart check.

Request a pack-specific demonstration record

For each representative pack, record the film and tray identity, accepted wrapped packs during the observation period, rejects, stops and any manual intervention. Do not use an unloaded-machine rate as the acceptance result for the seafood project. Review the SK-BF catalog reference together with the complete loaded-pack specification.

This is a tray-overwrapping review, not evidence of vacuum, modified-atmosphere or shelf-life performance. Ask SUK to review your seafood tray project with pack photos, dimensions, wrapping conditions, proposed film, output target and line layout. Suitability remains subject to evaluation of the actual pack.

SK-BF Catalog Reference Specifications

Model: SK-BF. Reference packing speed: 20–60 packs/minute. Actual output depends on the tray, product, film and configuration. The highest speed is not guaranteed for the largest pack.

See the SK-BF tray cling film overwrapping machine for the 2026 catalog reference dimensions and configuration table. Confirm the proposed configuration with SUK before ordering. These reference values are not a product-specific trial result.
