Multi-Lane Stick Pack Counting and Cartoning Line

Planning retail cartons of individually packed food portions? SUK helps food manufacturers select a multi-lane packaging, pack-handling and cartoning configuration around the product, bag format and required number of packs per carton.

A fast packaging machine alone does not determine finished-carton output. Pack discharge, counting, grouping and cartoning must work together. Share your pack and carton samples so the proposed configuration can be assessed against your production requirements.

Request a Line Configuration

Send your food product, fill weight or volume, bag dimensions, packs per carton and target cartons per minute.

SUK multi-lane packaging and cartoning equipment

From Individual Packs to Finished Cartons

The proposed production sequence is: multi-lane filling and sealing → pack transfer and arrangement → counting and grouping → carton loading and closing.

The final equipment scope depends on the project. Inspection, rejection, coding, buffer conveyors and connections to existing equipment should be reviewed separately rather than assumed to be included.

Start with Your Food Product and Pack Format

For coffee powder, drink mixes or seasonings, selection starts with the material's flow characteristics, target fill amount and packaging film. Powder and liquid products require different filling configurations.

Stick packs describe a narrow bag format; multi-lane describes several lanes operating in parallel. A stick pack machine can therefore also be a multi-lane machine. Specify the actual bag sample rather than selecting equipment from the name alone.

Explore the DLA-400F multi-lane powder packaging machine and counting and arranged infeed cartoning equipment for the individual equipment stages. The final combination requires a project-specific review.

If you need premade zipper pouches instead of small packs in cartons, review our premade pouch packing machine configuration separately.

Compare Factory Project Requirements

These project routes do not inherit the coffee case's speed. Supply filled samples and a carton drawing so the proposed combination can be reviewed as one line. Request a matched packing-to-cartoning layout.

Coffee Powder Line: Real Project Reference

See how a coffee powder project connects stick-pack handling, counting and cartoning. SUK confirms an actual synchronized complete-line output of 40 cartons per minute for the linked project. This is a specific operating result, not a minimum speed guaranteed for every product or carton format.

View the coffee stick-pack counting and cartoning case video and its project notes. Primary bag output and finished-carton output must be matched under the same operating conditions; figures from different configurations should not be combined.

Planning a faster line or a different pack count? SUK can evaluate higher-speed configurations around your product, stick dimensions, packs per carton and carton drawing. Send your samples and required cartons per minute for a line proposal.

4-lane coffee powder project: 20 g sticks, 10 packs per carton

SUK supplied the following project details for a coffee powder stick-pack and cartoning configuration combining a DLA-400F multi-lane powder machine with an SKZH-2620 cartoner. The packs are arranged and counted in groups of ten for glued cartons, with a weight-checking stage included in the project.

Project configuration and individual-machine speeds reported by SUK
Product and primary formatCoffee powder; 20 g per stick pack; 20 × 100 mm finished bag; 4 lanes
Primary packaging machineDLA-400F: 240 packs/minute, reported machine operating figure
Cartoning machineSKZH-2620: 30 cartons/minute, reported machine operating figure
Carton grouping and closure10 stick packs per carton; glued carton closure
Line functionsArranged infeed, counting, buffered transfer, cartoning and weight checking

How to read the two speeds: 240 packs/minute and 30 cartons/minute refer to the two machines individually, not to a measured sustained output of 30 complete cartons/minute for the whole line. Buffered handling helps coordinate transfer and short interruptions; the matched continuous line output must be agreed and verified over the same run and pack-count conditions.

SUK-supplied footage of downstream sachet handling, cartoning and checkweighing. The video is used to illustrate those downstream stages; the coffee product, fill, dimensions and individual-machine speeds above are project details supplied by SUK, not measurements independently established from this footage. The separate 40-cartons/minute coffee video on this site describes another operating case and must not be combined with these figures.

Open the full downstream equipment video or request a matched stick-pack and cartoning proposal with your product sample, fill weight, bag drawing, packs per carton and required accepted output. Compare the complete line scope before selecting the component machines.

Match Bag Output to Carton Output

Please provide both bags per minute and cartons per minute. For example, 30 cartons per minute with 10 packs in each carton requires 300 acceptable packs per minute at the carton-loading stage, before considering production losses or operating margins. This is a planning example, not a machine performance specification.

Bag handling, carton dimensions, count changes, interruptions and filled-pack characteristics affect the proposed line. Maximum speeds for an individual machine should not be treated as guaranteed sustained output for the entire line.

Information Needed for a Useful Quotation

  • Food product and sample: powder, granules, liquid or paste, including relevant handling characteristics.
  • Required fill amount per pack in grams or millilitres, as applicable, and the accuracy requirement.
  • Pack format, width, length and packaging material; a sample or drawing is helpful.
  • Number of packs per carton, arrangement inside the carton and carton dimensions.
  • Required acceptable packs per minute and finished cartons per minute.
  • Inspection, coding, counting verification and rejection requirements.
  • Available floor space, power supply, cleaning needs and existing equipment connections.
  • Installation country and project-specific documentation requirements.

If some details are undecided, send your product and packaging samples first. We can discuss the configuration around what your factory needs to produce.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one line pack different food products?

Suitability depends on the filling system, product characteristics, bag format and changeover requirements. A powder configuration should not be assumed to handle liquids without different equipment.

Can I change the number of packs in each carton?

Specify all required pack counts and carton formats during selection. The feasible changeover method and any format parts must be confirmed for the proposed configuration.

Is the highest bag speed also the highest carton speed?

No. Packs per carton and the capacity of each downstream stage affect finished-carton output. Request a line assessment for your actual packaging specification.

What should I send to get started?

Send your product, pack sample, fill amount, carton sample, packs per carton and output target. Founded in 2012, Foshan SUK Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. supplies packaging machinery and can discuss an appropriate configuration for your project.
